Anne Thomas is from Gary, Indiana, number 5 of 6 siblings and growing up very close to her two brothers was really her first acting job, “I thought I was a boy too.” Anne decided to pursue her dreams of being a performer in her early twenties, put herself through college where she studied theatre in all its aspects--acting, singing and directing. A natural at all three, Anne followed her heart and moved to Los Angeles to make her dream come true.
Once in Los Angeles, Anne completed the Sanford Meisner School of Acting, working consistently in television, film and theatre. She has co-starred on television shows ranging from soap operas like The Young and the Restless to hard-hitting dramas like Crossing Jordan, Cold Case, and The West Wing. Her fantastic smile has also graced several National commercials and she played Beneatha in the critically acclaimed Raisin at the Long Beach International City Theatre. Anne went on to direct Nafeesa Monroe’s one-woman show The Journey to Becoming a Super Woman, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006.
Anne’s undeniable talent and passion shine through everything she touches. She has begun a second career as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California and continues to work with actors and artists, only in a different capacity. Even so, her future as a founding member of Classics in Color shines as bright as ever.
